New Hampshire Ballot Box Fraud Caught On Video

Thanks to BlackBoxVoting for doing this video. Hmmmmm. As I sit back and watch this video and many others like this one and ponder over many issues such as who will be the next puppet that will be in office, which is the candidate, or candidates that the behind the scene people want in office? In the end it does not matter who we vote for because that seat in the oval office is already spoken for. The true question is what will happen when the majority vote (population) clearly outweighs the Electoral College. I remember learning this back in the days but had forgotten it until I was reminded by my son and a co-worker. Interesting thought to think how we Americans would handle it. It did happen one election but is was a close race. But my question is when the common people’s vote clearly with a large margin outweighs the Electoral College. What will we do? Sit back and let it happen or take action? Makes me wonder. Maybe that is why things like this video happen to ensure that it is never known, that the mass population does not get the person they pick. I encourage everyone to vote, but not for the reasons that you think. It more like a selfish reason. I personally would love for everyone or a large # of people to vote for the underdog, and I would love to see it play out. Would they ever allow a Mike Gravel or Ron Paul in office or would they try every means to stop it from happening. So ask everyone and vote for Mike Gravel and bring it on.

Federal Prison Consultant Weighs in on California Ballot Measure

]]>

One measure on the ballot in California this year would reform the way non-violent drug offenders are treated by the criminal justice system.  In a state that has routinely increased criminal penalties, this measure is seen as a major departure.

This measure is not endorsed by members of the criminal justice system.  For example, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Michael Tynan said the measure would be like throwing money down a rat hole.

California’s nonpartisan legislative analyst reports that costs over time associated with the measure, estimated at up to billion, would be balanced by an equivalent amount of savings by reducing incarceration.

The measure would direct most non-violent drug-related offenders to treatment, rather than prison.  The measure would also require increased levels of treatment for those already incarcerated.  And the measure would revamp the parole system, reducing parole lengths and making it more difficult to return parole violators to the prison population.

This measure should be followed closely by the feds.  A substantial amount of federal criminal resources go to fight drug-related crime.  If non-violent drug-related offenders were provided treatment in the federal system, rather than incarceration, inmate populations would decrease.  More importantly, society would benefit if drug addiction was treated rather than criminalized.

Geoff Mousseau normally writes about white collar issues.  However, many criminal acts are either fueled by drugs or motivated by the need to buy drugs, even when the person is a stock broker, lawyer, or politician.

Sometimes we need to take a critical look at whether policy choices are working.  Has the criminalization of non-violent behavior resulting from drug addiction lead to a reduction in drug addiction?  Has this policy really provided a benefit?  Unless the answer to this question is a resounding yes, then we should be open to alternatives.

The measure currently on the California ballot is an alternative worthy of consideration.

Federal Prison Consultant, Why Do I Need One?

The federal government currently has a 97% guilty plea rate in federal criminal cases. Federal prosecutors have over a 75% conviction rate following trial, and 91% of federal criminal defendants receive a prison sentence. It is no longer a question of will I go to federal prison, it’s a question of where will I go and how long will I be there? With statistics like those, isn’t it only prudent to hire an experienced Federal Prison Consultant. How can a federal criminal defendant afford not to?

Old Colony Elderly Services Explains Question 1 on November 4th Ballot for Elders, Caregivers and Their Families

DATELINE: PLYMOUTH COUNTY AND AVON, EASTON AND STOUGHTON, MA.

Question 1 proposes a law to reduce the state personal income tax rate to 2.65% as of January 1, 2009 and to eliminate the tax beginning January 1, 2010. A “yes” vote will enact these reductions; a “no” vote will make no change to the state’s income tax laws.

OCES employs 130 staff and provides services to more than 4,600 elders, caregivers and families each month. These services include home health aide, personal care and medical transportation that are vital to many home-bound, frail elders in our communities. In addition, every month we respond to more than 600 inquiries for information and referral, perform 150 long-term care screenings and deliver approximately 23,000 lunches through the meals-on-wheels program.

According to most reports, the income tax produces .5 billion, or 40%, of the entire state budget. If OCES’ budget is reduced by 40%, we will be forced to decrease services to some of our most vulnerable citizens and eliminate jobs. This could mean that 1,800 elders will lose home care services, 9,000 meals will not be delivered and at least 50 employees will lose their jobs.

Elders already impacted by the high costs of fuel and food are wondering how they will manage on fixed incomes. The workforce is trying to balance these costs too while watching their commuting costs increase and their savings and home values decrease. With state funding to cities and towns reduced, localities may raise property taxes and impose other fees, thereby placing another burden on homeowners – including elders and others on fixed incomes.

According to analysis by the Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation, the estimated 40% budget reduction is too low. They contend that “after accounting for five legally mandated programs, the rest of state government would bear across-the-board cuts of 71.1% with the loss of .5 billion in state income tax revenue”. Private, non-profit agencies like OCES will be unable to continue providing needed human services after that level of funding cut.

“I urge registered voters to learn all they can about the impacts of Question 1 so they may make informed decisions before casting their votes on November 4th,” said Diana L. DiGiorgi, Executive Director of OCES.

The fronts of remittance envelopes look just like standard envelopes, and are usually printed along with your organization’s address in the center, FIMs, and sometimes with business reply or “stamp here” copy.

Columbus Takes Schools Initiative Off 2007 Ballot

]]>

Voters in the Columbus Schools area who were hoping to see a ballot initiative in November will be disappointed. The Campaign for Ohio’s Future, a group made up of 12 separate educational groups, simply ran out of time to collect all the signatures needed to put their proposal on the 2007 November ballot. Supporters in the Columbus Schools had hoped that the proposal would shift financial obligations from the local community to the state, and improve the quality of public education.

Over 400,000 signatures were required; the group managed to collect 150,000 before deciding to put the program on the back burner. They say they will try again in 2008. But not everyone in Columbus Schools, or in Ohio, supports the proposal. One of the most notable opponents is Ohio Governor Ted Strickland. The Governor is seeking legislative methods to fix the problems of Ohio and Columbus Schools. Still, the disappointment felt by many in the Columbus Schools, and its surrounding communities, is apparent.

Bob Greenwood, superintendent of the East Guernsey district, about 80 miles east of Columbus Schools, has said, “It is very disappointing. We just had million of cuts to balance our budget and are to the point where we can’t cut anymore.” This is concerning as Ohio and Columbus Schools strive to meet national mandates and stretch state funds. Ohio is currently 9th in the nation for graduation rates, and 15th in terms of teacher pay. Columbus Schools benefit from the ,963 per pupil expenditure that places the state 16th highest in student spending.

Educators in Columbus Schools realize that in terms of national standards they are at the better end of the continuum, in terms of available funds. But administrators in Columbus Schools are well aware that that doesn’t mean the funds are enough, or even that money alone can address all of the issues.

Governor Strickland, the Ohio Business Roundtable, and the Ohio Education Association are trying to create different legislative initiatives to fix Ohio and Columbus Schools. Local districts like Columbus Schools are hopeful that their input will be sought before final decisions are made. The issue of transferring the major burden of funding from local taxpayers in Columbus Schools to the state has numerous ramifications. It pits Columbus Schools and other Ohio districts against each in competition for the funds. But this is not unusual in the world of public education funding.

One of the biggest trends nationally is for large corporations to fund public school systems. So it’s not surprising that part of the Governor’s team includes an Ohio business organization. Columbus Schools and the other districts in Ohio will wait for both the Governor’s proposal, and to see if the Campaign for Ohio’s Future will present their proposal in 2008.

Stung By A Memory Foam Mattress

Not long ago I obtained a memory foam mattress from ebay, I thought we’d gotten a great deal on a space age foam mattress, and carried on to believe this for about 30 days afterwards ahead of understanding that we were definitely ripped off and already been marketed a artificial memory foam mattress through the specified vendor within the online auction marketplace web-site.

Pretty much everything merely came to light after the memory polyurethane foam in the mattress began to fail in restoring its primary shape after having a nights relaxation and towards the last part of the initial month it had become so horrible we attempted to get in touch with the seller for a replacement, only to realize he or she wasn’t any longer supplying on ebay.

Right after a little research I realised I had been sold a fake mattress manufactured from some type of fake memory foam. All I can suggest to other people in this circumstance is to always buy memory foam mattresses from a dependable retailer and perform some memory foam mattress reviews prior to deciding to invest your cash.

The Right Kind Of Flowers

Since your wedding is one of the most important events in your life, you will want to be sure that everything is perfect. The flowers are a central part of your important day. You will want flowers for the actual wedding location, your bridesmaids, groomsmen and your wedding bouquet. Some brides choose to use real flowers because of the lovely fragrance they emit, and others choose to use silk flowers because of their permanence and the more reasonable cost. With either choice, they can make your wedding a beautiful occasion.

Your bouquet should compliment your dress. Depending on your budget, you may want specific floral choices that have some kind of meaning for you and your fiance. Perhaps he gave you certain flowers for the first time and you want to make sure you have them in your bouquet. You may want to include your favorite flower, too. You can create your bouquet from flowers that you enjoy. Another point to keep in mind is to use flowers that grow in your region. If they are easier to get, then they most likely are not going to be as expensive and the chances of getting exactly what you want is higher.

Kajabi : Will it be the ideal Alternative?

Kajabi is not unveiled yet, but there is a lot of discussion about it. It’s a “game changer” or even is a “push button internet marketing” you can read in several web pages, but is it actually so good? Well, seeking testimonials I recently learned that it has been in ‘beta’ by some of the best Web marketers out there: John Reese, Frank Kern, Andy Jenkins, Jeff Walker to note some. If Kajabi has been evaluated with massive product launches from all of these guys, well, let me tell you it’s the only evidence I’ll ask to get in! These Website marketing “gurus” have released a few products having Kajabi software with superb results, Kajabi even make a member’s program creation and also management simple to produce. The launch of this great instrument is scheduled for October 14th. If you need more information relating to this solution pay a visit to: Kajabi.

Selecting the Best Anti-Aging Treatment

Selecting the anti-aging treatment is definitely not always an easy task. The entire world is shifting quickly and new products are coming on to the current market every day. Several individuals are resorting to a best anti-aging treatment system rather than relying on just one product for their skin care needs. There are absolutely pros and negatives to this viewpoint. When you perform this properly, it can be a very efficient technique for curing your skin care issues and slowing down the aging process. However, when you do not devote the time to study the best anti-aging treatment system, you might possibly end up doing more damage than good.

Do you know the benefits of a system, instead of one product? They are full service options. The majority of the systems are items that offer nutritional supplements, not just as the topical solution. Preferably the things they’re doing include supplements and suggest nutrition and fitness as a means to improve the results from the cream and lotions. In other words, the best anti-aging treatment systems promote treatment of your skin both from within and on the outside. That is generally a good, that makes it harder to distinguish any kind of possible pitfalls.

There are lot of things to be considered in deciding on the best anti-aging treatment. The number one that you should looked into is the environment and weather conditions in your area since they play a huge part in choosing the type of product to pick from. The other factors to be considered is when you smoke or you are surrounded by smokers, regardless of whether you are physically active. When using a system, always deemed environmental issues. It’s better to make use of a system which will satisfy your needs since this will direct you to cause harm rather than good.

You should also stay away from systems that are based on the outcomes of other peoples usage. Your skin is unique to you alone. Take a look at the scientific tests regarding the products. Your results, obviously, are going to be unique to you. Should you consider the tips in this post then you will have chosen the best anti-aging treatment that fits your particular needs.
